June Templeton rain
El Paso High School – Class of 1964
June Templeton Rain entered El Paso High School in 1959 as an 8th grader and graduated with the
Class of 1964. During her years at EPHS, she was an active and accomplished student leader. She
served as a class officer, majorette, Spring Fiesta Duchess and Princess, and Head Varsity
Cheerleader. She was a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, and numerous clubs, and
was recognized in *Who’s Who*.
After graduation, June attended Texas Western College (now UTEP), earning a B.S. in Secondary
Education in 1968 with majors in English and Biology. At UTEP, she continued her leadership and spirit
involvement, serving as Head Cheerleader and participating in Spurs, Chimes, the Student Activities
Board, and *Who’s Who*.
June went on to dedicate her career to education, teaching middle school Physical Science and high
school Biology in the Dallas Independent School District. Beyond the classroom, she sponsored
after-school programs, science clubs, and even established a native plant garden on campus, providing
her students with enriching experiences and lasting school memories.
